Valentina Top

$9.95

The Valentina Top is designed with a bottom up construction. It is first worked in the round before splitting for the front & back and worked flat. It is a piece designed specifically for scraps and reducing waste since it only requires a small amount of each colour. The pattern includes a step-by-step guide to knit your own top, it features 6 sizes with adjustable components.

SIZES (XS, S, M)(L, XL, XXL)

The sizes correspond with a bust circumference of (80-85, 85-90, 90-95)(95-100, 100-110, 110-120) cm or approx. (31.5-33.5, 33.5-35.5, 35.5-37.5)(37.5-39.5, 39.5-43.5, 43.5-47.25) inches.

MEASUREMENTS

The Valentina Top is designed to have a negative ease of 20-30 cm / 8-12 inches. You should therefore choose a size 20-30 cm / 8-12 inches smaller than your bust circumference. If you prefer a looser fit I recommend sizing up.

Circumference: (57, 63, 68)(74, 81, 90) cm / approx. (22.5, 25, 27)(29, 32, 35.5) inches

Length: (34, 34, 35)(35, 38, 38) cm / approx. (13.5, 13.5, 14)(14, 15, 15) inches measured from underarm to hem.

YARN

Sample uses a combination of scrap yarns. This project is designed to use up leftover half skeins and scrap yarns. You will need 6 colours for this top.

You will need (20, 20, 25)(30, 35, 40) g of each colour.

Any fingering/ sport weight yarn will work for this project. I recommend sticking to 1 or 2 fibres such as wool & alpaca for all of your yarns. You may also choose to knit with plant fibres. Just make sure you are making a gauge swatch to see if your yarns are within gauge.
